Not such a Merry Go Round?

You will have heard the phrase “time flies when you’re having fun” – well that must mean I was just a miserable kid then because  I’m confident that a year used to take an awful lot longer to get through before I was 11-years old that it does now.

I’ll give you a couple of examples:  I bought our 2014 diaries in August last year and had the first 3 months of 2014 sown up by October 2013; and we’ve just had our second team meeting of the year and discussed Christmas 2014 holiday dates!

Mad isnt’ it?

Our daughter turned 25-years of age last week.  She had a ‘Quarter of a Century’ party.  Like every other parent in the world, I’m not really sure where that time went either.

What I am glad about is that I did spend time playing with her when she was small and I can teach her new things even now, like learning to knit.

Our lives could literally go by in a whirl if we didn’t stop the roundabout and get off from time-to-time and take a moment to appreciate the little stuff.  The little stuff is what makes the big stuff that makes life great.

Whether you are a planner – like me – or a more of a ‘spur of the moment’ type of person step off your roundabout this week and do the little stuff.
